Aston Villa skipper Olof Mellberg has blasted rumours linking him with a move away from Villa Park and has labelled a possible move to arch-rivals Birmingham City as 'bullshit.' After four-and-a-half years at Villa Park, there has been speculation that Olof Mellberg, currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, wants to leave the club in January.

However, the rumours have suggested that not only does the Sweden international want to leave the club, but he could move to bitter rivals Birmingham City.

In reaction to the rumours, Mellberg blasted, "It's bullshit that I am tired of being at Villa.

"The reason that some clubs have shown an interest is that it's going well for me and nothing else.

"I can't imagine that Birmingham have shown an interest in me and neither have I for them."
