Sam Shilton rejects an offer to stay at the Brewers without a secure contract and will surely leave the club in the summer. Cloughie offered a contract similar to Dudley and Millers but Shilton wasnt interested and a few clubs are interested in him. The left winger has had an uneventful spell at Eton Park and will miss the clubs new era at the Pirelli Stadium. The midfielder who has also played well at left back turned down a month to month contract from Brewers boss Nigel Clough who is willing to offer nothing more as he feels Sam hasnt done enough to earn a full contract.

He hasnt had the best times at Burton and has failed to win over the fans but recently has shown guts and determination which has made the fans rethink their views on the player. His place is however under threat. Chris Hall has had a great season for the club after a slow start and recently has won the fans over. Aaron Webster also stakes a massive claim down the left hand side.

Craig Dudley and Barry Miller have accepted month to month contracts but Peter Shiltons son believes he is worth more and is unwilling to take an insecure contract. The player has attracted a few clubs attentions one of them suggested to be Wigan Athletic. It appears that his time at the Brewers is up leaving the fans with mixed emotions.
