After over 4000 turn up for Ross County against Falkirk this afternoon the Bairns boss Stephen Pressley is looking for a bigger top League.

Pressley raised a number of excellent points this afternoon in his post match interview with BBC Scotland.

He wants a bigger top flight League although he is looking for a 20 team League, which I don’t think is the way ahead. I would agree with his point that the League does need to be expanded, although 20 is too large as we don’t have the depth to support that.

He then went on to say that the people in the game need to make sure we get people into the grounds and stop relying on TV money. Again I think these are great points once again.

The point he made is the top clubs need to think about how to get fans back into the ground rather than rely on the money from Sky, or the product will become less attractive to the broadcasters.

Finally he asked the SPL to stop thinking about a few clubs but to think of the bigger picture and think of all of the clubs inScotland. His fear is if we don’t do this we will have a part time second tier which will only weaken the game in total.

I am not a big fan of Pressley and his views normally, but I would fully support everything he said in his interview this afternoon.

So come on Neil Doncaster listen to the wider view and let’s get the decisions made on the way forward for the Scottish game…..
