Wylde scores third

Rangers comfortably won 3-0 at Fir Park while Celtic lost 1-0 to St. Johnstone at Celtic Park.

Rangers were first up with their TV trip toFirParkto take on Motherwell. The visitors took the game to the home side from the kick off and they saw a couple of headers from Jelavic fly over.

Both sides then tested the respective keeper with McGregor saving from Murphy, while at the other endRandolphgot down sharply to deny Lafferty.

Rangers deservedly took the lead on 20 minutes when aDaviscorner was met by the head of Jelavic and as the ball looked to be heading harmlessly to the hands ofRandolphit hit Naismith on the head and bounced over the keepers hands.

There was a moment of controversy on 38 minutes when Murphy had the ball in the net for Motherwell but it was ruled off for a handball. It looked as though it was ball to hand rather than the other way, looked a tough call on Well.

Rangers went into the break with a flattering two goal lead when they caught Motherwell on the break. Ortiz sent Lafferty clear and his crisp, low shot leftRandolphhelpless.

The second half saw Rangers content to sit in and hit Motherwell on the counter attack. This led to their third goal on 85 minutes. This time a long ball fromDavisreleased Wylde and the youngster kept his cool to beatRandolphwith a low shot.

Celtic kicked off 45 minutes after Rangers at home to St. Johnstone with a second-half goal from Dave MacKay giving St Johnstone their first victory atCelticParksince 1999, as the home side struggled to find the net.

Celtic were handed an early chance to score when Saints keeper Enckelman brought down Stokes for a penalty.KrisCommonstook the kick but the keeper made for his error by saving his effort.

But St Johnstone eventually broke the deadlock in the 60th minute, with MacKay's shot deflected into the net.

Despite having the bulk of the possession Celtic struggled to make an impression on a resolute Saints side and therefore lost for the first time this season.

In the third game of the afternoonKilmarnockand Hearts drew a blank in a goalless draw.
