Hearts strolled through to the draw for the Play Off round for the UEFA Cup with a comfortable 4-1 win over Paksi of Hungary tonight.
After a turbulent week at Tynecastle it was back to football and a morale boosting win in the Europa League.
Hearts started brighter of the two sides but it took them until 11 minutes before the break when Ryan Stevenson headed home a Grainger corner. It was two just at the break with Stevenson netted from a tight angle with the keeper looking suspect.
Five minutes after the break the tie was killed stone dead when Andy Driver netted after good work from John Sutton. They added a fourth thanks to a goal from home favourite Rudi Skacel.
The Hungarians managed a consolation late on when Daniel Bode headed home from close range.
This means there are three clubs in the final qualifying round with Hearts joining the Old Firm in tomorrow’s draw. Hopefully we can see all three make the group stages and build up the co-efficient forScotland.
