After all the draws and postponement at the weekend we finally know the teams in one of the semi finals of this season’s Scottish Cup, with Aberdeen now set to take on Celtic

Despite going a goal behind to an Adam Rooney penalty with only minutes to the break Celtic came back to win 2-1 thanks to two goals from Joe Ledley.

Rooney scored from the spot after Loovens had pulled down Richie Foran in the box. But as it looked as though Inverness would make it through to half time in the lead Ledley netted his first goal of the game, when he was on hand to turn in an Izaguerre cross.

Then in the second half Ledley was on hand to head home a Kayal free kick to see the Celts through to the semi final, and keep their treble dream alive.

Sadly for Inverness there was no opportunity for them to ballistic this time and they are left looking to seal a top six place to seal a top class season.

They are now due to play Aberdeen in the second semi final of the season, having already hammered the Dons in the League Cup semi. The Dons were two goals up at half time in their replay against St. Mirren.

The goals in the first half were scored by the Dons strike force of Maguire and Vernon. They had to survive a late scare with Dons sub Vujadinovic scoring an own goal only a minute after coming on!

Saints were left rueing the missed chances in the game at New St. Mirren Park on Saturday when they created enough openings to have closed the tie out before Aberdeen’s late equaliser.

We still have two weeks to wait to see who the other semi final will be between.
