Candidates for Job

After Ian Rush and Mark Aizelwood departed today, we list the top three people we would like to see take over at the Deva Stadium. 1) John Aldridge - over the four or so years John was at Tranmere he did an amazing job. Lifting them from near relegation upto Mid Table in his first season and keeping them there for the next two seasons. Then in his fourth season at Prenton Park, Aldridge took Tranmere to their biggest achievment to date. In a single season, "Aldo" managed to take Tranmere to the League Cup Final, The F.A. Cup Quater Finals and around 10th place in the league. However, it all went pearshaped for Tranmere and Aldridge when Tranmere got relegated the following season, and Aldridge resigned from the club he had began to love. Definatly the man I'd most like in the job.

2) Mark Wright - As much as I know he isn't going to come back to the Deva, I would love to see him come. Wright has managed in league football just once before with Oxford after moving there from Southport, but liost his second chance of doing so in Augest, when he left Chester after getting them promoted from The Nationwide Conference to League Two - however, there is almost no chance Wrighty will come back to Chester.

3) Brian Talbot - reacently sacked by Oldham after doing a good job there during his time at Boundry Park. He was sacked only a matter of days ago by Oldham after Oldham started to slip and slide toward the League One relegation zone. This season had been one of mixed emmotions however for Talbot, as before he got sacked, he had taken Oldham to the LDV Vans Northern Section Final against Wrexham and taken Oldham to the Fourth round of the F.A. Cup after beating Manchester City in the third round.

Please take part in our latest pole on who you would like to see as the next manager at the Deva Stadium.
