Boulding is a Blade

Sheffield United Football Club have loaned Aston Villa striker Michael Boulding on a one month loan deal with a view to a permanent move.

Boulding, who is a Blades fan had the dream opportunity of signing for Sheffield United in the summer after his contract expired at Grimsby Town but the temptation of Premier League Football was too much and he joined the Villa Park club.

Villa boss Graham Taylor and Neil Warnock have already agreed a fee if the move it to become permanent.

Neil Warnock told BBC Radio Sheffield "I spoke to Michael in the summer but he chose to go to Villa. It hasn't quite worked out there so he's come here.

Yesterday, United finally received their £500,000 payment from Derby County that they owed from the sale of Lee Morris. The Football League however had to intervene when they decided to take the money from Rams parachute package that they receive for first two years in Nationwide League after being relegated from Premiership.

United have a huge striker problem, Carl Asaba (Back), Laurens Ten Heuvel (Ankle), Iffy Onoura (Achilles Tendon)  and Paul Peschisolido (Achilles) are all out, this leaves only Wayne Allison 100% fit. We imagine that Michael Boulding will go straight into the squad on Saturday against Watford.
