Keeper worries relieved as Carlo Nash signs a three and a half year deal to bring him to Deepdale

Northend have managed to solve their keeper crisis of late by signing Middlesbroughs number two keeper Carlo Nash on a three and half year contract, ending his unsuccessful two year spell at Boro were he only managed five appearances.

Bolton born Carlo Nash, 31 was snapped up for only £175,000 a nominal fee for Premiership experience, and with his arrival Billy Davies had this to say on the offical site:

"We're delighted to bring in a top quality goalkeeper with the experience he's got and the level that he's played at we're just delighted to have him at the club,"

"We know all about his goalkeeping, he's worked at some very big clubs in the past few years and I think he's been very unfortunate because he's had to be understudy to some top top goalkeepers.

"At Middlesbrough he was particularly unlucky, he was second choice to Mark Schwarzer and that's difficult for anybody but we know all about his background, we know all about his ability and we're delighted he's here.

"He's got a lovely personality and the most important thing is that we have got this lad at 6'5" with great stature who will now come in and be part of our long term plans."
