Good Performance

Motherwell finally ended their Partick Thistle hoodoo with style winning convincingly 3 - 0 thanks to goals from Hammell, Clarkson and Adams.

It was Motherwell's sixth win in a row at Fir Park and the third in a row which we have kept a clean sheet.

It was a bad day for Thistle right from the kick off. Forward James Grady had to subbed by Cadete after only 5 minutes when he injured himself trying to shoot past Marshall. Thistle then wasted another opportunity to go infront when ex Well midfielder Ian Ross set up Rowson but he fired the ball wide.

Motherwell's took the lead after a good spell of possession, Keith Lasley was hauled down on the edge of the penalty box by Ross. Hammell sent a curling free-kick past Arthur into the top corner of the net.

David Clarkson added a second shortly after half-time with a header from a McDonald cross. Derek Adams back in the side after missing the Aberdeen match got the final goal of the match with ten minutes left on the clock. Goalscorer Clarskon turned provider when he crossed for Adams to tap the ball past a dejected Arthur in the Thistle goal.

Well MOTM
