Livingston 3 - 1 Motherwell

Livi were still able to field a strong side which included Makel, Dorado, Lilley and Fernandez despite losing 6 players after going into administration last week.

Gary Bollan was handed his first Motherwell start replacing Stevie Hammell who had failed a fitness test.

Livingston started the brighter of the 2 sides and were rewarded with the opening goal after only 3 minutes on the clock. Jamie McAllister's ferocious strike from outside the box beat Marshall who's view was obstructed.

On the half-hour mark, Livi got their second, with the influential Fernandez again involved in the attack. The Spaniard crossed for Derek Lilley to double the home side's advantage. Livingston piled the pressure on and Motherwell were only kept in the game at this point by great goalkeeping from Marshall.

But the killer third goal came just before half time, Fernandez latched on to a Makel through ball and the on loan striker rounded Marshall before firing home from a tight angle.

Motherwell nearly blew their chance of a consolation goal when they were awarded a penalty in the final minute after Oscar Rubio fouled Kenny Wright.

McKenzie saved Adams shot from the spot but the midfielder headered the rebound past the keeper.
