Terry Butcher was ' bitterly disappointed ' after yesterday's defeat at Dunfermline, the Motherwell Boss was raging his side left East End Park with nothing after putting in a lot of work. Butcher told the official Motherwell site " We never started the first half, it was after about 35 minutes before we strung a few passes together. We finished the first half off a lot better than we started it, but we could've gone behind on more than one occasion in the first half. "



" We played a lot better in the second half, then we conceded a soft goal. Once again after putting a lot into the game, like at Ibrox last week, we've come away with nothing and I'm bitterly disappointed. "



" I don't think our keeper's had a save to make, so defensively we're doing well, but we don't seem to have that spark and confidence that we had at the start of the season, but we'll work on that. "



" I'd rather two players than none go for the ball but having said that you still want a clearance at the end of it. But it wasn't cleared and it was a piece of opportunism from Young and a few errors on our part that led to the goal. I'm disappointed to lose a goal from a set piece. "
