Motherwell manager Terry Butcher has made his second signing of the transfer window by signing Southampton striker Scott McDonald until the end of the season. The Austrailian impressed Butcher after a spell on trial at Fir Park.


McDonald, only managed two sub appearances for the Premiership club against Aston Villa and Middlesborough since he joined them in August 2001 but he had loan spells with Huddersfield, Bournemouth and more recently at Wimbledon.


Relegation ?

The SPL have announced that Motherwell and Dundee could be relegated if their grounds don't have undersoil heating for the start of the new season. Both clubs have assured fans that they will complete the work in time despite being in administration.
