Motherwell's dismal run continued against Hibernian at Fir Park on Saturday. The Edinburgh side snatchedall three points with a Derek Riordan winner in injury time.


Terry Butcher only made one change from the team that lost in Maryhill last Sunday, Jason Dair replaced the injured David Partridge and put in a decent performance despite playing out of position.


For the second week running Motherwell gifted a club who were in a desperate need of a win ,Hibs had not won since 25 October.





Motherwell didn't create much chances but in the 54th minute Stevie Hammell fired a shot from 25 yards which Andersson did well to push around the post for a corner.


Gordon Marshall then saved well from close range as the visitors piled on the pressure. Alex Burns was unclucky not to open his Motherwell account after he lacthed onto a Clarkson pass but the veteran hitman hit the post from only 10 yards out.





Riordan then struck the winner for the visitors in injury time giving Motherwell no chance of any comeback. The Scotland under 21 international fired past Marshall from a tight angle to empty the Fir Park stands.
