Since the news broke that Phil O'Donnell is back at Fir Park trying to get 100 % fit, rumours started that the 31 year old could be offered a contract if he proves his fitness.
So the Pride of Lanarkshire site asked fans in our recent poll if they would like to see the midfielder back playing in Claret & Amber ?

Phil - Middle row, 5th from right
59 % said they would like to see Terry Butcher to offer Phil a contract and a further 21 % would also like to see him back if Stephen Pearson gets his move away from Motherwell.
20 % voted against the 31 year old being offered a contract.
The 1.75 Million transfer fee Celtic paid for O'Donnell is still a record amount received for a Motherwell player even though that was nine years ago. Injuries meant he only made 115 ( including sub ) appearances for Celtic in the 5 years he spent at Parkhead before moving to Sheffield Wednesday on a free transfer. Once again injuries kept the midfielder out of the side and he only managed 25 games for the ' Owls '.
