Dundee v Motherwell - Preview

Motherwell face another tough away match on Saturday, this time it's at Dens Park. Dundee will surely test the visitors defence more than Aberdeen did last weekend. It's likely Terry Butcher will keep with the same eleven who done a fantastic job at Pittodrie last Saturday. Alex Burns could make a return from injury for a place on the bench.

Like Motherwell the Dens Park side are one of the form side's in the SPL. With Nacho Novo and ex Juventus & Marsielle striker Ravanelli banging in the goals recently Gordon Marshall will have to reproduce the form we saw across the road at Tannadice earlier in the campaign.

Craig Burley is suspended for the match after seeing red against Hibernian for a rash challenge.

Pride of Lanarkshire Prediction -

Dundee 0 - 0 Motherwell

Meanwhile the Daily Record have reported that former Motherwell, Celtic and Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Phil O'Donnell has been training with the club. O'Donnell's agent, Raymond Sparks, told the Record - "Phil has been on a strict training regime similar to pre-season work for the last three months. Call it an MOT, if you like.

"But I wouldn't like any pressure to build up on Phil or Terry Butcher. He's not there with a view to being Stephen Pearson's replacement or anything like that. "

O'Donnell who only made 25 appearances for Wednesday after joining them in 1999 would only be offered a pay as you play deal if anything was to happen.
