Steven Craig reckons Motherwell's most important player isn't even on the park. The sports psychologist brought in by manager Terry Butcher at the start of the season is one of the reasons behind Motherwell's great start according to the hitman.
Terry Butcher decided to bring in the sports psychologist after last seasons poor form plus the high rate of bookings and sending offs. So far the move has paid off with his side sitting in fifth spot with a game in hand to the rest of the league.
The forward told 'This is North Scotland ' website " According to him, 84 of teams who score first win "
" Confidence is sky high just now and I think it shows on the park. The boys are just flying "
Aberdeen 0 - 3 Motherwell
Terry Butcher told the official site he's shocked at Saturday's result and went on to praise his team he describes as honest pro's who will give you 100 %, he said " We've had a two week break, but our confidence is still high because we've had some great results and have managed to build on them. "
" I didn't expect to come up here and win three nil, but the crucial difference was the confidence we had compared to them. "
" If Aberdeen were able to play with confidence you'd see a different Aberdeen side altogether. "
" We were excellent today and have a lot of honest pro's that try their best, I'm a very lucky manager. "
