Motherwell youngsters David Clarkson, Paul ' the coach ' Quinn and Goalkeeper Andy Reid all played part in Scotland's 3 - 1 win over the Faroes Islands at Somerset Park.

Striker David Clarkson opened the scoring and won a penalty which led to the third. Andy Reid and Paul Quinn also put in good performances. Another Motherwell youngster Kenny Wright managed a place on the bench.

The call ups for the youngsters was the reason our match against Dunfermline was called off today. Terry Butcher felt his squad wasn't able to cope with missing four players.

Next game for the Scotland Under 19's is on Monday against Turkey at Dumbarton with a 7:30 pm kick off. On Wednesday Motherwell fans will get the chance to cheer on the youngsters when the under 19 side face Macedonia at Hamilton's New Douglas Park. Entry is £ 5 for adults and £ 2 for concessions.
