It's back to league buisness this Saturday after the shocking Cup exit to part timers Forfar Athletic. While Motherwell were being knocked out the CIS Cup by Forfar, Hearts were doing Scotland proud with a 2 - 0 win in the UEFA Cup against Zeljeznicar at Tynecastle.
Hearts midfielder Paul Hartley fears a Motherwell backlash after the shock cup exit, he told Teletext " We've got a tough game at Motherwell but we're hoping to get the three points and put last week's game behind us. Rangers played well but we were disappointed not to take anything. "
" They had a bad result against Forfar so they will come out with all guns blazing and they will be hoping for a backlash but we'll be up for the game after getting a good European result. "
Paul Hartley couldn't be more right, Terry Butcher told the official site, " We are now looking forward to turning this disappointment round. "
" The players know exactly how I feel and they want to put it right. "
The first time Hearts visited Fir Park last season they left licking their wounds after a 6 - 1 defeat but does anyone think there will be a repeat of this result ? ( no ! )
Terry Butcher is still without the services of striker Alex Burns who is out with an ankle injury but has everyone else availible to him. Hearts manager Craig Levein could be without midfielder Phil Stamp.
Pride of Lanarkshire Prediction -
Motherwell 1 - 2 Hearts
