Motherwell have signed former Dunfermline midfielder Jason Dair on a one year contract after he was freed from the East End Park club in the summer. Jason who has also played for Raith Rovers and Millwall is looking forward to playing first team football, he told the official site " At my age I need to be playing first team football and, hopefully, Motherwell will offer me the chance to do that. "


He also went on to add that he was impressed with the current squad and manager Jason said " Obviously they have just lost James McFadden who was an excellent player, but they have a good squad and I know a few players already. "


"I also know Terry well because he was a coach at Raith when I was there and he was brilliant to work with. "


The midfielder was able to sign for Motherwell after the transfer window closed because he was clubless. He should make his debut at Easter Road next Saturday.
