Motherwell striker James McFadden has been included in the Scotland squad to face Norway this month. James will join Stevie Crawford from Dunfermline Athletic, West Ham United's Don Hutchison, Neil McCann from Southampton and Rangers frontman Steven Thompson as Scotland's forward's in the squad to face Norway in the Ullevaal Stadium.

Stevie Hammell and Stephen Pearson were called up to the Rainer Bonhoff's under 21 squad.


Terry Butcher has also heaped praise on McFadden for the way he has handled the on going transfer talk surrounding the player.


Terry told the Daily Record " I have more respect for James now than I ever did. The way he has handled everything at his age has been fantastic. "


" If Real Madrid came in for him he wouldn't bat an eyelid. That's just the way he is. "


" The other players know he is a special talent and have all the respect in the world for him. In fact this has brought us closer together. "


" They want to play in the same team as James and I'm sure they will do that for some time yet. "
