Leicester City manager Micky Adams is considering whether to increase his offer for Motherwell's want away midfielder Stephen Pearson after the club rejected his initial bid. It was reported Leicester had bid 100,000 for the 20 year old with a further 175,000 if he made 57 appearances in the Premiership for the Foxes.


Adams told his club's official website " I am led to believe that Motherwell have rejected our offer for Pearson and it is now up to us whether we increase the bid or forget about it, Adams told the club's official website. "


" I'll have a little think about that over the next 24 hours. "

Motherwell are reported to be furious at Leicester trying to snatch Pearson away from Fir Park on the cheap, they described the bid as a " derisory figure " . Terry Butcher understands the midfielder's desire to play in the English Premiership but has stated he will not be leaving unless there is a bid which matches Motherwell's valuation of the player, he told the official Motherwell site "We have our own thoughts on what Stephen is worth and we have no intention of letting him go on the cheap," said the Fir Park boss.
