You can't judge teams on their pre season performances and after watching Motherwell's dreadful display today it's just as well.



Motherwell lined up with their new signings, Marshall, Craigan and Burns but along with others they failed to impress the Away support with average performances throughout the side.



Hamilton lead for the majority of the match before Derek Adams who was a second half substitute for Kevin McDonald rattled in a shot from 25 yards with only minutes to go sparing the blushes of Terry Butcher.

After the match Terry Butcher was quizzed about the possible transfer of Stephen Pearson and the midfielder handing in a transfer request, he told the BBC " It's a massive blow for us "


" Stephen was very much in our plans for the coming season and he may yet stay with us. "


" But we have now notified all clubs in the English Premiership and First Division that Stephen is available. "
