Motherwell youngster Stephen Pearson says he'll put all the rumours of a possible transfer away from Fir Park to the back of his mind as he concentrates on keeping Motherwell in the SPL and improving his disciplinary record. Stephen has been linked with moves to Rangers and Premiership clubs Birmingham and Leicster City recently but the 20 year old said " As far as I know there have been no bids for me, it was just interest. "



" If nothing comes of it, I will be quite happy to settle for another season of first-team football in the Premierleague. "



The player has also been talking about his disciplinary problems that kept him out the first team at vital times in the campaign, he told the Evening Times " I had eight yellow and two red cards last season — far too many. "



" It brought me suspensions at a time when the club needed every bit of help it could get. I wasn't providing any help sitting in the stand and the boss, Terry Butcher, let me know that in no uncertain manner. "



It's likely the midfielder will leave Fir Park by the end of the season since he only has one year left on his current deal.
