Motherwell manager Terry Butcher is angry at reports in the newspapers this week linking James McFadden with a move away from Fir Park.



It seems like there's never a week that passes without James being linked with a move to a bigger club.


Last season James was linked with Bayer Leverkusen, Rangers, Celtic, Preston North End, Everton and to be honest the list could go on and Terry is getting fed up with it, he told teletext " I'm angry this kind of speculation keeps rearing its head and I'm afraid there are some people it suits to keep it going. "


" As far as I'm concerned, I'm looking forward to James McFadden being an important part of my plans at Motherwell this season. "


Butcher is also getting fed up with rumours that Motherwell are about to offload McFadden for a knock down price. Butcher has hit out at a newspaper that claimed the youngster would be sold for as little as £375,000, he said " There has not been a single enquiry, never mind a bid for James, In any case, anyone who thinks we would ever sell him for £375,000 has got to be fantasising. "


"James is worth far more, even in the current transfer market climate."



St Mirren have talks with Lehmann





Former Motherwell striker Dirk Lehmann could join Stevie Woods at St Mirren, the German had talks with Love Street chairman Stewart Gilmour this week and is hopeful of playing for the ' Buddies ' next season.
