Former Motherwell goalkeeper Stevie Woods has signed for St Mirren. Stevie who was freed at the end of last season after giving the club nine years service signed for the Buddies after knocking back Dick Cambell's offer of being number 1 at Brechin City.


St Mirren manager John Coughlin is delighted to add an experienced goalkeeper to his squad, speaking to Teletext he said " We're delighted to attract a keeper of Stevie's quality to St Mirren Park. "


" He has played the majority of his career in the top flight of Scottish Football so he is another player who will bring fantastic experience into the squad. "
