Newcastle United and England under - 20 striker Richard Offiong would love to see James McFadden join up with him at St James's Park. Offiong who had a six month loan spell at Fir Park last season was impressed by James McFadden so much that he's urging Newcastle United manager Sir Bobby Robson to snap up the Scotland international player.



The 19 year old striker was also impressed by McFadden's confidence and feels he would not be daunted by the prospect of playing in the Premiership or the Champions League, he told teletext " I would definitely like to see James at Newcastle. He's a great player. "



" I think he could do very well at St James' Park and he wouldn't be daunted by the prospect of the Champions League or the Premiership. James is a great lad and doesn't let fame go to his head. "
