Alex Burns would be a welcome addition to the Motherwell squad according to the fans who took part in our recent poll. Pride of Lanarkshire believe ' Toastie is about join Motherwell for his second spell and a whopping 72 % who took part in the poll said they would like to see Alex back at Fir Park where he started out his senior career.



Tommy McClean first signed him for Motherwell from Shotts Bon Accord and the little striker scored against Celtic on his debut. He scored 16 goals for Partick Thistle last season but only managed 8 goals in 76 league matches for Motherwell in his previous spell. After being released by Alex McCliesh ' Toastie then went on to play in Holland before returning to Britain to play for Southend, Raith Rovers, Livingston, St Mirren and Partick Thistle.



Not all Motherwell fans think he would be the answer Terry Butcher is looking for, 28 % voted against him signing on at Fir Park.
