We're going to finish bottom of the league, we've taken 1 point from our last possible 30 and who do we face on Saturday ? LIVINGSTON ! a team we've failed to beat since they were promoted two seasons ago it just can't get any worse. In our seven previous meetings with Livingston we've only managed a draw and lost the rest, the worst of those coming in Livi's last visit to Fir Park when they went on a scoring spree beating us 5 - 1. Wouldn't it be just typical of Motherwell to win when the result didn't matter ?






Terry Butcher has a selection headache, he's missing Derek Adams and Dirk Lehmann through suspension and Tony Vaughan has returned to Nottingham Forest after failing to win a contract at Fir Park. The Livingston match is all about players appearing in their last game for Motherwell.



Woods and Ramsay at Livingston on the 1st day of the season


Terry might consider giving Stevie Woods a chance in goal, Duboudeau hasn't been hitting his best form plus it would give stevie a chance to say goodbye to the fans, he'll be released after the game so it would be his last chance to pull on a Motherwell shirt. Midfielder Dougie Ramsay is also being released at the end of the match. James McFadden isn't being released but this could well be his last match as a Motherwell player, it's thought the top goalscorer will be sold to the highest bidder in the summer. Livingston could field an under strenth side at Fir Park, Captain Stuart Lovell will be left out of the side, Assistant manager Allan Preston explains " Stuart was left out of the Hibs game because he's one booking away from suspension and the same thing will happen at this week. " Like all SPL clubs Livingston this week released some of their first team players, Gus Bahoken and Philippe Brinquin have been tols they will not be needed for next season.



Pride of Lanarkshire PREDICTION -

Motherwell have never beaten Livingston in a competitive match but they won't be at full strenth and the match is meaningless so I'm going to stick my neck out and tip Motherwell.
