Motherwell defender Stevie Hammell has told Terry Butcher that he is willing to see out the final year of his contract at Fir Park even if the club are relegated.
The 21 year old who has only missed 1 match this season told teletext " still have another year left and if the club still wants me then I'm happy to stay here. "

Although he's willing to play on at Fir Park he feels the club would have no choice but to sell him if they were relegated.
Spencer being sued ?
Former Motherwell striker John Spencer could be sued by his former bosses. Motherwell claim the Colorado Rapids player owe's them £358,000. Motherwell paid the fee to release the player from Everton and struck a deal which meant Spencer would have to repay the money if he left during his contract.
