This Wednesday Motherwell travel to Ibrox to face CIS Cup winners Rangers who will be looking to extend their lead over Celtic at the top of the SPL to six points.

Rangers who are always tough opponents will be on a high after lifting the CIS Cup on Sunday against their bitter rivals Celtic and will now be looking to pick up three points on Wednesday to go even further ahead in the title race. Rangers manager Alex McLeish has Amorouso ( 4 match ban ) and Bonnisel ( Thigh injury ) with Arteta and De Boer also doubts for the match.

Motherwell mananger Terry Butcher welcomes back Derek Adams but loses yet another player through suspension after Stephen Pearson was sent off against Aberdeen last weekend. Scott Leitch will also miss the crucial match through injury but there's talk of the midfielder making a comeback at Stair Park on Saturday.

Motherwell haven't won at Ibrox since 1997 when Owen Coyle double gave ' the well ' a memorable victory which stopped the Ibrox side clinching ' 9 in a row ' on their home patch.

Pride of Lanarkshire Prediction - Six years without a victory at Ibrox and I can't see that changing, Rangers will be too strong in their own back yard and with the usual help of the referee I can't even see Motherwell getting on the scoresheet.

Rangers 3 - 0 Motherwell
