With the news that Paulo Wanchope will be missing until after Christmas, Kevin Keegan has dismissed speculation that he will look to sign another forward.

No new signings

Kevin Keegan has re-emphasised the fact that he will not be signing anyone else before the season starts.

The claims come in the wake of the Paulo Wanchope injury and speculation that he may sign another forward.

Keegan was quick to deny this however claiming that he had plenty of cover in attack.

With confirmation arriving that Wanchope will once more travel to the USA for a knee operation and that he is likely to be missing until after Christmas, Kevin Keegan can feel pleased in his decision to keep hold of all his forwards. With Wanchope absent, competition for places is likely to be intense.
