Ritchie to Coventry?

Paul Ritchie looks to be on the verge of a loan move to 1st Division Coventry City. The Scottish defender who has hardly figured in a Keegan squad once more failed to make the final 16 for Saturday's visit to Leeds and would appear to be one of a few players that are surplas to requirements.

Now that Kevin Keegan has shown his hand with his first team squad the vultures have started circling to see what pieces they can pick up from a squad that still looks on the large side.

The latest player to be linked with a move away is Scottish defender, Paul Ritchie. Ritchie could well be on his way to Coventry this week, although initially only in a loan deal.

Despite impressing in the pre season squads, Ritchie has once again failed to make Keegan’s first team squad and is likely to fancy any type of move to get first team football.

Any deal will have to be concluded in the next ten days with the continental style transfer deadline coming into play as of the 31st August.
