Penney: We Did Nothing Wrong

Dave Penney has praised Doncaster for their performance in the 1-1 draw away at Blackpool despite the home side going down to 10-men.

After 14 minutes, Blackpool were a man down after Wellens pushed Tim Ryan in the chest, who proceeded to give Rovers the lead after 40 minutes.

 

Murphy equalised for the home side and despite Doncaster having 19 shots and 13 corners, they could not find a winner.

 

But Dave Penney is still pleased with the way his side performed.

 

Penney said:

 

"There wasn't a lot wrong with our performance. I tried to change things and tried new systems.

"When Blackpool were down to 10 men it became a bit of a tactical game and their goalkeeper being man of the match tells you what sort of game it was."
