18 games to go. 39 points on the table. Make that 17 games and counting now! A very boring and dull game turns mad fro 5 minutes then dies completely.

I should have written the first half report at half time! The team news showed an interesting change with Wayne Thomas coming in to replace Michael Duff at right back, interesting because Duff splits opinion. Some like him and think he's fine others seem to hate him and think he's useless! With the usual 4-5-1 in place off we went with a wet flint. 45 minutes of nothing of real not from either sides on the playing front. On the discipline front when Ade got booked on 27 minutes we knew it straight away, out for Preston due to his 5th booking of the season. So half time and 0-0 was looking ok for the Clarets away from home.

The Second Half yet again made us wonder what Burnley we would see? The first couple of minutes gave us hope with a much more positive start and things not going to bad. With the odd chance for both sides, although Burnley leading the corner count (!) we made it through to 58 minutes with us believing we could get something here. What a mistake! 250,000 is not a lot nowadays but with Beast 'flapping' it suddenly became worth much more.

So ok no need to panic. Plenty of time and a strong bench will being us back. After all we don't throw games in under SC do we. Well until two minutes later when 250,000 increase his worth again and 3 minutes on we even get a header from Koumass to rub it in! The rest of half and nothing! Back to a boring game with very few chances to either side. Yeah we made a change at 3-0, but was it really worth it?

Very disappointing, very depressing, no chance of players coming in, good chance of players going out, and Preston North End next week!

Dave Jones
"The first time we get wide and get a cross in the keeper drops it and we score a goal. Then the second goal has also come from a build up there.

When the third goal went in the game was already won..."

Steve Cotterill
"We had a madcap five minutes but I thought the ref gave them 9/10 free kicks all afternoon and he gave them an important one that led to the first goal."
