Dimi in Greek Squad

Burnley fans will be keeping a close on Group A in this year's European Championships. The reason is that our former striker Dimi Papadopoulous has been named in the 23 man squad Greece will take to Portugal. The young striker left Turf Moor last Summer to join Panathinaikos. He had an excellent season for them with his 17 goals helping his side clinch the championship.

Papadopoulous was always going to be a borderline inclusion with his current injury problems a major concern for the manager. Greece play in the opening game of the championships against hosts Portugal and what better stage could the former Claret ask for in impressing football fans from around the world.
