Youths finish with win

The Youth Team finished the season with a victory over Halifax. The result means the lads have finished 2nd in the 3rd Merit Division. The victory was a coomfortable 4-1 at Halifax. The impressive Marc Pugh scored a hat-trick with Alex Taylor getting the other goal. Pugh is normally deployed as a right winger however he played up front in this game and rewarded Terry Pashley with an excellent display.

The lads have had a mixed season as they were relegated from the Youth Alliance Table before enjoying a good run in the Lancashire FA Youth Cup before losing to Oldham in the final. The team has played 8 games in the Merit Division and won 6 of them so the year of 2004 has been a pretty good one for the youngsters.
