The PFA Awards were announced last night and whilst Thierry Henry won the Premiership award. We were more interested to see whether any Claret had made it in the Division 1 team of the year. Sadly we didn't have player in the team with our only realistic chance, Robbie Blake, losing out to Andy Johnson and Robert Earnshaw. The polls were conducted a few months ago and if the polls were opened today Blake would probably have stood a better chance of making it because Earnshaw has struggled for goals over the last couple of months.

Earnshaw isn't the only Cardiff player in the side with Danny Gabbidon also named in the team. Norwich, who are 25 points ahead of Cardiff, have the same number of players in the team as the Bluebirds whilst the other promoted side West Brom have just Jason Koumas representing them. Sunderland, Sheffied United, West Ham, Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace all have one player in the team.
