That lead was reduced a minute before the break through Joe Lolley, however Ben Mee restored the advantage and completed the scoring a minute later with a thunderous header. 

The win means the relentless Clarets remain unbeaten in the league in 2016, and extended their stunning current form to seven wins in eight league games and 11 in just 14 outings! 

Sean Dyche made one change from the midweek 3-2 victory at Fulham, with the returning David Jones replacing Fredrik Ulvestad, who missed out of the squad. 

And the Clarets were ahead after just 14 minutes as Ward’s first league goal of the season broke the deadlock! 
David Jones’ initial corner from the right found Ben Mee at the far post, and his header was tipped over for another set-piece. 

The resulting corner, again from Jones, found Michael Keane who headed back into the mixer, where Ward was the quickest to react, brilliantly flicking on over a host of bodies into the top left hand corner. 

And the Clarets did doubled their advantage on the half hour mark, with just their third effort of the afternoon. 

Andre Gray’s composed ball down the right flank stretched the Town defence, finding the overlapping Boyd in space.
