Charlie Austin provided lift-off for the Clarets as he struck twice to end Derby's flawless start to the season and propel Burnley to a thrilling first Championship win of the season.

Austin took his tally for the season to five goals as Burnley tasted victory in the league for the first time since winning at Pride Park at the end of April.
But if Austin was the headline grabber, there were heroes all over the pitch as the Clarets showed tremendous character to repel a late Rams onslaught, who had won their opening four games to sit joint top of the table.

A cracking day out at Derby again.
I like going to Pride Park.
Ale stop at The Brunswick again thumbs down

By far the better the team in the first half, but left feeling a bit uncomfortable that we didn't have a lead that we deserved.
Super Charlie Austin soon sorted that though. And we defended well when we came under pressure. Edgar looked very composed and he read the game very well.
Have to say, i thought Derby were a poor side, quite direct. I cant see them lasting long up near the top of the league.

I did think it strange to see Derby up there with some of the signings they'd made this summer, I expect them to finish mid-table.

Still, cracking result for us but I just hope that the manager and board aren't thinking that we'll be able to challenge after this result without more incomings.
