Charlie Austin scored his first goal in a Burnley shirt as the Clarets continued their build-up to the new campaign with another comfortable win.

Austin started his first game since the end of February following surgery to repair a shoulder problem and responded with the Clarets' opening goal after seven minutes at Gigg Lane.
Alex MacDonald then furthered the positive impression he has made since signing a new 12-month deal with his second goal in the space of four days.

Again thank you for your vibrant and interesting coverage of the match . At least from far we may have an idea how the squad is faring .
inspite of no new recruits ,I am not losing hope that we would not do well this season . I relish the idea that our young players would do well this season .
