Manager Ian McCall claims he beat off competition from eight clubs to sign highly-rated youngster Mark Kerr. The former Falkirk midfielder - who played under McCall at Brockville Park last season - became the Tangerines' latest summer signing after he agreed a three-year deal.

McCall said: "Mark is delighted to join what is beginning to look like a revolution at the club and we hope he will not be the last player.

"I know him very well from his time at Falkirk and I think if he can stay focused he could have a huge future in the game."
