Nottingham Forest have signed defender Marcus Hall on a pay-as-you-play deal. The 26-year-who has also trained with West Brom and Wolves this summer left Coventry this summer after his contract expired.

It appeared that any deal with Forest was dead and Rotherham boss Ronnie Moore was thought to be ready to make a swoop.

Forest boss Paul Hart told the official site about the deal. "There's no way we can bring him in on a permenant basis at this moment in time, so this is the next best thing.

He has done well in the games which he has played and I've no doubts he will be an excellent addition to our squad."
