Magnue Hedman has completed his move from Coventry City to Celtic. The Sweedish international goalkeeper had already stated his desire to move away from Highfield Road and impresses performances in the World Cup attracted a number of potential suitors.
It was thought that the the 29-year-old would move to Spain with Espanyol and Alaves leading the chase. However, Hedman will stay in Britain but move north of the border with Celtic in a deal thought to be worth around £1million.
Hedman was clearly delighted to sign for the Scottish champions. "It's a great honour to sign for Celtic. This move will give me a tremendous opportunity in my playing career and I'm looking forward to the challenges ahead."
