Wimbledon could sign Scottish winger Robbie Winters who is currently on trial at the club. The 28-year-old is out of contract at the minute having parted compnay with Aberdeen.

Winters has spent the last 3 weeks on trial with Stoke City but left after Steve Cotterill wasn't impressed enough to offer a contract.

The Dons have handed the wide-man a trial and he played in the 2-1 friendly defeat to Barnet.

Speaking to the clubs website boss Stuart Murdoch expressed his delight at the possibility of signing Winters. "He's a wide midfielder who can play on either flank and he's got freedom of his contract so we're just taking a look at him at this stage."
