Luton Town boss Joe Kinnear says he is confident of getting £1million for Matthew Taylor from Portsmouth at a tribunial. The talented left back/winger signed for Portsmouth last week but the two clubs could not agree a fee for the the 20-year-old and the price will be decided at tribunial.
Portsmouth made an initial offer of £150,000 which Kinnear called an "insult". Kinnear is basing his £1million estimate on the price which Arsenal bought Matthew Upson for from the Hatters a few years ago.
"Upson made only one first-team appearance before being sold so Taylor must be valued at considerably more than that," said Kinnear.
"We will bring a whole sheet of transfers to the tribunal to prove our case and hope common sense prevails. He is the best left-back in all the leagues."
