Ipswich boss, George Burley, has rubbished reports that midfielder, Matt Holland, is set to leave the Tractor Boys for Charlton. It has been rumoured that the Repuclic of Ireland international is keen to stay in the Premier League rather than play in Division 1 with Ipswich.

As well as Charlton, Manchester City and Everton are reported to be tracking the 28-year-old. The highly rated midfielder dismissed claims that he wanted to leave

"I have four years left on my contract and unless the clubs say otherwise I will honour that"

Burley also stated that Holland would be staying, but hinted that a clear out at Ipswich will be done

Any club sometimes has to sell players they don't want to. There would also be a certain figure who would not be turned down, but I would not even consider selling Holland".

The news will no doubt come as a relief for Ipswich fans who will be keen to the nucleus of their squad in order to bounce back into the Premier League at the first attempt.
