Des Walker has been offered a contract to play for Notts Forest next season following a trial at the end of last season. Walker started his career at the City Ground before leaving for Sampdoria. Upon his return he joined Sheffield Wednesday but was released last season by the Yorkshire club.

Walker travelled with the Forest squad to France for two games and impressed manager Paul Hart. "Des did very well in his two games in France and was excellent with the lads. We're continuing negotiations. He's very keen to come here and he's spending the summer training. I want him on board".

Hart will no doubt see Walkers experience vital to his mainly very unexperienced team.
