Coventry have released 11 players, including Republic of Ireland international, Gary Breen, as they bid to cut down on a crippling wage bill. Breen will be travelling to Japan and Korea with the Republic of Ireland this month and was one of Coventry's leading lights in a mainly disapointing season.
Breen is out of contract in the summer and rejected the offer put on the table by Coventry, the same circumstances are in place for Marcus Hall.
It is thought that Breen will move to a Premier League team, with Newcastle and others showing interest in previous months.
The full list of released player is as follows:
Gary Breen
Marcus Hall
Marc Edworthy
Paul Trollope
Shaun Hope
Mark Magennis
Thomas Cudworth
Craig Strachan
Danny Nelson
Jason Ashby
Matthew Cook
The final three of Nelson, Ashby and Cook are academey players who have not been offered a third and final year of the scholarship.
Meanwhile, out of contract defender, Richard Shaw, has signed a 1 year deal to stay at Highfield Road.
