Wolves will play another season in Division One next season after crashing out to Norwich City.

Norwich ignored the script and took a 3-1 lead into last nights game and despite all the efforts of Wolves they just couldn't get the two goals they needed to take it into extra time. The best they could do was win the game 1-0 when Cooper, recently brought from Wimbledon, fired home a thunder boult from 40 yards which will be up there for goal of the season but that won't make up for the pain Wolves have gone through this season.

But they finished 3rd!

They were in the top two for most of the season and once were 20 points ahead of Man City, in second place, but with the bitter taste of defeat they have to cope with the fact they were the 3rd best team in the league over 46 games and losing out on 2nd place to fierce rivals West Brom... it'll be hard for the players and fans to get over.

They're going to Cardiff

However on the brighter, yellow side, of life Norwich City are into their first ever play-off final in thei first ever play-off appearance. They will now face either Birmingham or Millwall who are currently locked at 1-1 for tonights second leg.
